Waddy Hill Farm Beginnings

Waddy Hill Farm was founded in 2021, rooted in a deep connection to the land and a passion for sustainable farming. Growing up, I spent my youth ranching, learning the rhythms of the land and the value of hard work. Life took me on a different path when I pursued a career in the Marines, but the call of the land never faded. Inspired by the old-time cowboys who worked tirelessly to feed America back in California where I was born and raised, and by my family’s legacy as poultry farmers in the far east before the Vietnam War, I felt a responsibility to carry forward their traditions. My grandfather and father shared stories of raising ducks and chickens for their local market, stories that instilled in me a desire to honor my family's heritage.

After years of service, I returned to my roots with a renewed purpose. I saw a troubling reality: America’s soil, depleted by centuries of monocropping and mismanagement, was crying out for healing. With the average age of farmers in their 60s, I knew the time was now to step up. Studying regenerative farming practices became my mission, equipping me to become a steward of the land. My dream was clear: to own a piece of property and be part of the solution, raising livestock ethically, as nature originally intended.

At Waddy Hill Farm, we raise livestock on grass and bugs, allowing their manure to naturally fertilize the soil. This prepares the land for future generations, restoring what has been damaged by chemicals and artificial fertilizers. We believe in only vaccinating if absolutely necessary, ensuring that all of our poultry are vaccine-free and 100% naturally raised chickens. Our work is more than farming; it’s a commitment to healing the earth and feeding America with integrity. I’m blessed to continue my family’s legacy, building a future where the land thrives, and livestock are raised the way God intended.
